Copyright & DMCA Policy

Koti respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Koti is operated by KOTIHOUSE LLC.

Designated agent

Notifications of claimed infringement must be sent to our designated agent:

DMCA Agent — KOTIHOUSE LLC
2922 Medinah, Weston, FL 33332
Phone: +1 (786) 869-3598
Email: dmca@koti.house

How to send a takedown notice

To be effective, a notification must include substantially the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works at a single location are covered).
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it — the specific URL(s) on koti.house.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Email is the fastest way to reach our agent. Incomplete notices may not be effective under the DMCA. Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. This page is for copyright matters only; for anything else, contact support@koti.house.

What happens next

When we receive an effective notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who posted it. That user may send a counter-notification. If the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, the counter-notification must include: the user's physical or electronic signature; the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that the user has a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification; and the user's name, address, and telephone number, with a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district where the user's address is located (or, if outside the United States, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida) and accepting service of process from the person who sent the original notice. We will forward a valid counter-notification to the original complainant and restore the material no earlier than 10 and no later than 14 business days afterward, unless our agent is first notified that the complainant has filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement.

Repeat infringers

Koti terminates, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers, and may remove content and restrict posting by users who violate this policy.

Standard technical measures

Koti accommodates and does not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works.
