Delete your account
You can do it yourself in under a minute — here's how, and what happens next.
If you're a homeowner
- Sign in to Koti and open Account.
- Under Delete account, tap Delete my account.
- Enter the code we text to your phone to confirm it's you.
If you're a professional
- Sign in to your pro dashboard and open Settings.
- Under Delete account, tap Delete my account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
One exception: if your Stripe account still holds a balance, deletion waits until it settles — money you earned is never deleted. The delete screen will tell you if this applies.
What happens when you delete
- Right away: professionals stop receiving new requests.
- 7-day grace period: the deletion is scheduled, not immediate. Sign in any time during those 7 days and cancel it with one tap — your account goes back to exactly how it was.
- After 7 days: your account is deleted. Your name, phone, email, and (for homeowners) your saved home addresses are removed, and you can no longer sign in.
- What stays: a completed job is part of the other side's history too, so past requests, invoices, and payments remain in the platform's records in anonymized form — shown as “Former homeowner” or “Former pro”, with none of your contact details. Financial records are kept as the law requires.
Can't sign in?
Email support@koti.house — professionals from the email address on the account, homeowners with the phone number on the account — and ask us to delete it. We'll verify it's you and schedule the deletion with the same 7-day grace period.
